Endosseous Implants

The routine use of endosseous dental implants has revolutionized the way missing teeth are replaced.  Dental implants have become the standard of care for the replacement of teeth because dental implants allow a missing tooth or teeth to be restored to optimum function and appearance.  In the past a patient missing a single tooth would often receive a fixed bridge where the teeth on either side of the space are prepared for crowns and a false tooth suspended between them.  With today’s technology the patient is ideally treated by a crown supported by a dental implant, avoiding any compromise to the other teeth.  Dental implants are the ultimate solution for young people with congenitally missing teeth such as lateral incisors.

All-On-Four Implants

Your teeth were designed to last a lifetime but sometimes they don’t.  Replacing missing teeth is important to your general health.  Not only do you lose chewing ability when a tooth or teeth are lost but unreplaced teeth can cause other problems.  The obvious problems are poor appearance and loss of self esteem.  Replacement of lost teeth with dental implants has been used for treating missing teeth for more than 50 years and is recognized as an effective treatment choice.  All On Four is the right choice for those that can no longer wear removable dentures.  Dental implants are placed and the denture is permanently affixed to the implants.

Immediate Implants

Immediate Implants are placed and temporized the same day. These implants offer patients the convenience of an attached temporary crown or denture during the healing process. You will be informed if you are a candidate for this exciting technique, which eliminates the surgical exposure and temporization of conventional implant techniques. Information gained from our in-house CT scanner allows for predictable, quick results and eliminates the guess work of implant placement.

Subperiosteal Implants

Popular in the 1980's and 90's are utilized for patients suffering from extreme bone loss from years of denture use. This light weight, individually designed frame work fits directly over the remaining bone under the gum tissue. It provides complete support for the lower Over-Denture, eliminating loose, ill-fitting lower dentures and their complications. This procedure has been simplified by using the CT scan along with computer generated modeling and requires only one surgery. Enjoy your implant and new Cosmetic Denture in as little as three appointments with only one surgery. Our clinic has years of experience with this implant system and can offer full service for repair or replacement of subperiosteal dentures and care and maintenance of the implant itself.

Endosseous and Subperiosteal Implants

Perhaps the best known use of dental implants is treating patients without any teeth.  Denture wearers often suffer due to loose and “floating” dentures.  A endosseous or subperiosteal implant can offer many benefits to patient without teeth.  Stability of the denture is improved with the use of attachments that allow the denture to literally snap into place.  Either of these implants can also help preserve the patients jaw bone and slow the shrinking of the jaw that is routinely seen in long term denture wearers.

Mini implants

Mini implants, or transitional implants, can be utilized to support temporary restorations for patients who can not or choose not to use conventional temporary restorations during dental implant reconstruction. Some offices provide these implants as low cost alternatives to conventional over-denture support. Our practice prefers to utilize proven and superior conventional implant treatment.

Bone grafting

Bone Grafting can be utilized if there is inadequate bone to place the dental implants. Dr Jirik has been grafting sinuses since 1990 and was taught by Dr. Hilt O. Tatum, the inventor of this technique. Recent advances in bone grafting using donor grafts from within the patient's mouth and growth factors have revolutionized this science and dramatically increased implant success rates. If you have been told you are not a candidate for dental implants because you “don't have enough bone” you owe it to yourself to visit us and learn about the many options that are available.

Human Growth factors

Human growth factors contained in PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) derived from the patient's own blood can be drawn and prepared in the office. PRP has significantly decreased healing time and increased the success rates of both bone and soft tissue grafting procedures. Dr Jirik has preformed this technique since 1998 and has lectured nationally on this procedure.

Cosmetic denture

Cosmetic denture patients deserve adequate time for quality pre-delivery wax try-ins, which customize the tooth position, enhancing the smile and face. When over-dentures are used in combination with dental implants, we can dramatically improve the facial support to the lower one third of the face, resulting in a true " face lift ". The denture process offers custom tooth shade and shape, realistic gum tones with life-like processing, making even gummy smiles appear natural. Denture patients can enjoy the same age defying beautiful smiles as our cosmetic crown and veneer patients. Our patients also receive “Dual Dentures”, which are a spare identical pair of cosmetic dentures that can be utilized in the event of a dental emergency or as the original set deteriorates.
