Services

Millions of people have unleashed better versions of themselves through various cosmetic dental techniques. These specialized treatments are primarily known to improve the appearance of one's teeth. However, they have also demonstrated outstanding restorative benefits, as well. In our Cabot, AR office, Dr.  Samuel Jirik specializes in the precise performance of implant and cosmetic dentistry procedures that can enhance the appearance of the smile as well as oral functionality.

Tooth loss can set off a cascade of degradation in the mouth. The development of dental implants has paved a path that can prevent this from happening. Dental implants may be tiny titanium posts but, when integrated into the jawbone, they restore much of the benefit of having natural roots. Dental implants stand in for the roots that tethered a tooth to the jawbone. In doing this, the dental implant reinstates the most natural function. Implants are now used to replace single teeth, a few adjacent teeth, and also entire arches of teeth when necessary. The insertion of dental implants can restore bite force, preserve the jawbone structure, and give you back your confidence.

Each of us may have a unique idea of what a beautiful smile looks like. The role of your cosmetic dentist is to bring your vision to life so that you see your ideal smile every time you look in the mirror. Cosmetic dental treatments are those that are described as focusing primarily on the appearance of teeth and gums, not their overall function. We love helping our patients achieve their aesthetic goals that pertain to maintaining or recreating vibrant, youthful smiles. The process of treatment is handled with extraordinary care from our first consultation to the Big Reveal.

All-On-Four

A dental implant is a small, titanium, screw-shaped post that is inserted into the bone beneath the gum and is meant to replace the root of a missing tooth. All-on-four dental implants are the pinnacle of advanced, modern implant technology. They can replace an entire row of teeth with just four endosseous dental implants. This treatment is ideal for people who need to have several of their teeth removed or people that are already missing teeth but have found dentures to be impractical and uncomfortable. One of the best parts of this procedure is that it can be performed in a single day: you can come in missing teeth, and leave our office with a brand new, full, radiant smile.

Dental implants may be the gold standard for tooth replacement, but the treatment isn't known for being expedient. Normally, it takes many months and multiple office visits to complete the dental implant process. For our patients, the process can be streamlined into a single visit. Dr. Jirik is fully trained in the performance of computer-guided implant placement. This precise technique involves a comprehensive CT scan of the patient's oral anatomy, which is then used to formulate a virtual surgical plan. Dr. Jirik has performed thousands of dental implant procedures since 1989, many of which have involved virtual surgical planning. This technique allows patients to restore their smiles and functionality in one brief surgical procedure. The dental implants are ready for immediate use and patients generally experience very few post-surgical side effects like swelling and soreness.

Sedation dentistry is an expansion of the traditional pain management techniques used during dental treatment such as a filling or root canal. Using various methods of sedation, including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV conscious sedation, Dr. Jirik empowers patients to receive the care they need to preserve their healthiest, most attractive smiles. The use of sedation can enable patients to undergo more comprehensive procedures or a combination of procedures, such as dental implants and root canal therapy. It can ease anxiety and soften a strong gag reflex that creates emotional discomfort for some people. Sedation also offers the benefit of anterograde amnesia, which prevents the formation of new memories during the time of sedation. What this means is that patients do not remember having their dental treatment.

Technology

Numerous innovative technologies have been developed over the course of the last few decades. We take advantage of those that are proven to improve patient outcomes, streamline treatment processes, improve comfort, and ensure safety. Our practice is well-equipped with technologies such as an in-office CT scanner, digital x-rays, a diode laser, and more.

Tooth loss is more complex than it may seem at first glance. When a person loses a tooth, they also lose the root that attaches the tooth to the jawbone. Roots are also integral to bone regeneration. When a person chews, energy is delivered down through the root into the jawbone. The stimulation triggers the generation of new bone cells. Without it, bone loss occurs. Bone height and density are critical factors in the success of dental implant treatment. Historically, patients who had experienced bone loss were not good candidates for the very treatment that could restore the regenerative function that had been missing. Not anymore. A dental bone graft can replace the missing bone structure in the jaw. The treatment works by inserting a graft material over existing bone. Over time, the graft material gets absorbed and natural bone grows around it, laying the foundation for fully functional dental implants.
